The Golden State Warriors travel to the Paycom Center to battle the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night.
The Golden State Warriors have been in fine form as they’ve won five of their last eight games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight win after routing the Raptors in a 129-117 home win on Friday. Stephen Curry led the team with 35 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists, Klay Thompson added 29 points while Jonathan Kuminga chipped in with 15 points off the bench. As a team, the Warriors shot 55 percent from the field and 18 of 43 from the 3-point line as they found themselves in a real arm wrestle with the Raptors, until the fourth quarter where they went on a decisive 18-9 run to pull away and win comfortably in the end.
Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been in great shape as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after taking down the Cavaliers in a 112-100 home win on Friday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 35 points and eight assists on 12 of 21 shooting, Jalen Williams added 17 points while Josh Giddey chipped in with 15 points, six rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Thunder shot 52 percent from the field and 10 of 18 from the 3-point line as they struggled to keep up with the Cavaliers early on and scored just 20 points in the second quarter to trail going into halftime, but they flipped the script and exploded for 65 points in the second half to improve to 15-10 at home this season.
Looking at the betting trends, the Warriors are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 0-5-1 ATS in their last six games following a win of more than 10 points. The Thunder are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games, 13-3-2 ATS in their last 18 games following a win of more than 10 points and 20-8-1 ATS in their last 29 games overall.
Head to head, the under is 22-6 in the last 28 meetings overall, the Warriors are 7-3-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Oklahoma City and the Warriors are 6-1-1 ATS in the last eight meetings overall.
The Warriors should be at full health for this one except for Andre Iguodala who is still out, while the Thunder are shorthanded again as Luguentz Dort and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl are both out. The Warriors have predictably opened as road favorites in this one, but while they’ve been playing well, it's been the Thunder who come into this meeting with more momentum and they are a solid 5-1 ATS in their last six home games, so I’ll back the Thunder to pull off the minor upset at home in this spot.
