The Sacramento Kings pay a visit to the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center on Saturday night.

The Sacramento Kings have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their last nine games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting thrashed by the Raptors in a 113-95 loss on Wednesday. Kevin Huerter led the team with 21 points, Keegan Murray and De’Aaron Fox each scored 16 points while Harrison Barnes chipped in with 10 points. As a team, the Kings shot 47 percent from the field and 13 of 32 from the 3-point line as they struggled to keep up with the Raptors from the start and got outscored in every quarter. Domantas Sabonis had a quiet game of just nine points on four of nine shooting and the Kings got nothing from their reserves as their bench combined for just 23 points.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been in great shape as they’ve won 10 of their last 14 games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after beating the Grizzlies in a 111-100 win last night. Anthony Edwards led the team with 25 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, Kyle Anderson added 23 points with six assists while D’Angelo Russell chipped in with 19 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 51 percent from the field and 13 of 35 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 38 points in the first quarter to take the early lead and they never took their foot off the gas.

Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games, 2-6 ATS in their last eight games playing on two day’s rest and 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine games overall. The Timberwolves are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games, 5-0 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall, the Kings are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Minnesota and the Kings are 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall.

The Kings are coming into this meeting with plenty of winning momentum and they don’t have a single player listed on the injury report and you could almost say the same about the Timberwolves who have won 10 of their last 14 games and just took down the Grizzlies last night. You can make an argument for either side here, but the Kings are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games and I think they can take advantage of a shorthanded Timberwolves team playing their second game of a back to back set.
