The Milwaukee Bucks invade the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been in decent form as they’ve won six of their last nine games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after taking down the Raptors in a 130-122 home win on Tuesday. Jrue Holiday led the team with 37 points and seven assists, Grayson Allen added 25 points while Brook Lopez chipped in with 19 points on seven of 12 shooting. As a team, the Bucks shot 53 percent from the field and 19 of 39 from the 3-point line as they allowed 40 points in the second quarter to trail by nine points in the second quarter, before they took control with a 38-23 third quarter domination to pull away and escape with the narrow win.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after falling just short to the Warriors in a 120-114 loss last night. Darius Garland led the team with 31 points and nine assists, Caris LeVert added 22 points while Evan Mobley chipped in with 17 points, seven rebounds and two assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 50 percent from the field and 14 of 33 from the 3-point line, but they struggled to match the Warriors to start the game and just left themselves too much ground to make up after falling behind by 20 points in the third quarter.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 road games, 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games playing on three or more days rest. The Cavaliers are 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 games playing on zero days rest and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record.
Head to head, the under is 5-2-1 in the last eight meetings in Cleveland, the Bucks are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in Cleveland and the Bucks are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.
The Bucks are shorthanded again as Khris Middleton has already been ruled out while Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as questionable. The Cavaliers have their own injuries to deal with as Ricky Rubio and Donovan Mitchell are both questionable after sitting out last night. The Cavaliers have really struggled without Mitchell in the lineup and their confidence took another hit after dropping a winnable game against the shorthanded Warriors lats night. The Bucks haven’t been at their absolute best, but they still have Holiday to lead the team if Antetokounmpo isn’t able to suit up. Give me the Bucks to get the win and cover against a struggling Cavaliers squad.
