The Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons duke it out at the Accor Arena on Thursday afternoon.
The Chicago Bulls have been in decent form as they’ve won six of their last 11 games overall and they will be hoping to build some momentum after snapping a three-game skid with a 132-118 home win over the Warriors on Sunday. Nikola Vucevic led the team with 43 points, 13 rebounds and four assists, Zach LaVine added 27 points with nine rebounds and six assists while Coby White chipped in with 15 points off the bench. As a team, the Bulls shot 50 percent from the field and 15 of 39 from the 3-point line as they squandered an early 15-point lead in the first half, before they exploded for 73 points in the second half to blow away the Warriors and win easily in the end.
Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have been in a rut as they’ve lost five of their last six games and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting routed by the Knicks in a 117-104 loss on Sunday. Saddiq Bey and Jaden Ivey led the team in scoring with 21 points each, Kevin Knox added 16 points off the bench while Alec Burks chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Pistons shot 44 percent from the field and 18 of 44 from the 3-point line, but they got off to another poor start and were always fighting an uphill battle after getting outscored by 39-22 in the first quarter.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bulls are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a losing record, 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games following a win and 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 games overall. The Pistons are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a losing record, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a double-digit loss at home and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the under is 8-1 in the last nine meetings overall, the Bulls are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Detroit and the Bulls are 11-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings overall.
The Bulls are without Lonzo Ball and Javonte Green again, while the Pistons are keeping eyes on Cory Joseph, Jalen Duren and Nerlens Noel who are all questionable. The Bulls come into this meeting as the team in better form and they should be well-rested as they haven’t played since their dominant win over the Warriors on Sunday. The Bulls are also 11-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings overall, so I’ll stick with the Bulls to get the win and cover in this spot.
