The Cleveland Cavaliers travel to the FedExForum to take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been in great shape as they’ve won six of their last nine games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after beating the shorthanded Pelicans in a 113-103 home win on Monday. Darius Garland led the team with 30 points and 11 assists, Jarrett Allen added 24 points with 11 rebounds and five assists while Evan Mobley chipped in with 19 points and eight rebounds on eight of 10 shooting. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 48 percent from the field and nine of 28 from the 3-point line as they found themselves in a real arm wrestle with the Pelicans until the fourth quarter where they exploded for 35 points to win easily in the end.
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have been on fire as they will be looking to build on their current 10-game win streak after making light work of the shorthanded Suns in a 136-106 home win on Monday. Ja Morant led the team with 29 points and seven assists, Desmond Bane added 28 points with six assists while Jaren Jackson Jr. chipped in with 18 points, eight rebounds and six blocks. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 53 percent from the field and 16 of 37 from the 3-point line as they poured in 39 points in the second quarter to take the narrow lead into halftime, before they dominated the second half by 68-41 to run away with it in the end.
Looking at the betting trends, the Cavaliers are 3-12-2 ATS in their last 17 road games, 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record and 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a win. The Grizzlies are 35-15-1 ATS in their last 51 home games, 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Head to head, the under is 6-1 in the last seven meetings in Memphis, the Cavaliers are 21-9 ATS in the last 30 meetings overall and the Cavaliers are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Memphis.
The Cavaliers could be shorthanded once again as Donovan Mitchell is currently listed as doubtful, while the Grizzlies come into this one at full health with Danny Green the only player still out. The Cavaliers are coming into this meeting with plenty of momentum and they were good enough to get past the shorthanded Pelicans in their last outing, but the Grizzlies have been the hottest team in the league and they just come at you in waves with their deep roster. The Cavaliers are only 3-12-2 ATS in their last 17 road games, so I’ll stick with the red-hot Grizzlies to keep their win streak alive in this spot.
