The Chicago Bulls pay a visit to the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden on Monday night in NBA action.
The Chicago Bulls have been in great form as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after sneaking past the Jazz in a 126-118 home win on Saturday. Zach LaVine led the team in scoring with 36 points on 12 of 21 shooting, DeMar DeRozan added 35 points with seven assists while Nikola Vucevic tallied 15 points with 16 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Bulls shot 53 percent from the field and 13 of 28 from the 3-point line as they allowed 40 points in the third quarter to fall behind by eight points, before they rallied with 42 points in the fourth quarter to run down the Jazz and keep their win streak alive.
Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics have been in pretty good shape as they’ve won six of their last eight games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after sneaking past the Spurs in a 121-116 road win on Saturday. Jayson Tatum led the team with 34 points on 13 of 26 shooting, Jaylen Brown added 29 points while Malcolm Brogdon chipped in with 23 points and seven assists off the bench. As a team, the Celtics shot 49 percent from the field and 15 of 34 from the 3-point line as they hit the ground running and poured in 68 points in the first half to build a 15-point lead, before they scored the final five points in the final 33 seconds to escape with the narrow victory.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bulls are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a winning record, 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Celtics are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a win, 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings overall, the Bulls are 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings overall and the Bulls are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings in Boston.
The Bulls are keeping eyes on Javonte Green and Alex Caruso who are both questionable, while the Celtics have listed Marcus Smart as doubtful for this one due to a left knee bruise. Both teams are coming into this game with plenty of momentum, so we’re in for a good contest here. The Bulls’ backcourt duo of DeRozan and LaVine is firing on all cylinders at the moment and they have won two of three meetings against the Celtics this season, so I’ll back the Bulls with the points in a game that could go down to the wire.
