The Utah Jazz travel to the United Center to take on the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night.
The Utah Jazz have been in a real slump as they’ve lost seven of their last 10 games overall, but they will be eager to build some momentum after snapping a five-game slide with a 131-114 road win over the Rockets on Thursday. Lauri Markkanen led the way with a career-high 49 points on 15 of 27 shooting, Jordan Clarkson and Malik Beasley each scored 19 points while Ochai Agbaji chipped in with 11 points. As a team, the Jazz shot 49 percent from the field and 19 of 48 from the 3-point line as they got off to a flyer and scored at least 31 points in every quarter to earn the much-needed win to help them get out of their funk.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after routing the 76ers in a 126-112 road win last night. Zach LaVine led the team with 41 points and six assists on 14 of 19 shooting, Nikola Vucevic racked up a triple-double of 19 points with 18 rebounds and 10 assists while Patrick Williams chipped in with 18 points. As a team, the Bulls shot a healthy 57 percent from the field and a sizzling 20 of 34 from the 3-point line as they took control of the game with 34 points in the second quarter, before they exploded for 40 points in the third quarter to lead by as many as 18 points.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bulls are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four home games, 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days rest and 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine games overall.
Head to head, the under is 4-0 in the last four meetings in Chicago and the under is 22-8-1 ATS in the last 31 meetings overall.
The Jazz will again be missing Collin Sexton, while the Bulls are still without Alex Caruso, Tony Bradley and Javonte Green. The Jazz could really do with a win to get their season back on track, but they were ice-cold before their win over the lowly Rockets on Thursday. The Bulls come into this one as the team in better form and they will be full of confidence after derailing the 76ers last night. It’s always tough to play on zero days’ rest, but the Bulls are in a groove at the moment and they should be good enough to get the job done in this spot if they play anything like they did last night.
