The Los Angeles Clippers and the Philadelphia 76ers collide at the Wells Fargo Center on Friday night.
The Los Angeles Clippers have been in fine form as they’ve won five of their last six games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after making light work of the Hornets in a 126-105 home win on Wednesday. Paul George led the team with 22 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, Nicolas Batum drained seven 3-pointers to finish with 21 points off the bench while Kawhi Leonard tallied 16 points with seven rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Clippers shot 50 percent from the field and a sizzling 23 of 49 from the 3-point line as they absolutely dominated the first half by 71-40 to put the game to bed early. The Clippers finished with a ridiculous 27 turnovers for the game, with seven of those coming from George.
Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers have been in red-hot form as they’ve won nine of their last 12 games overall and they will be eager to build on their six-game win streak after routing the Pistons in a 113-93 win on Wednesday. Joel Embiid led the way with 22 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four blocks, Tobias Harris added 17 points on six of nine shooting while James harden tallied 15 points with eight assists. As a team, the 76ers shot 44 percent from the field and 11 of 37 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 37 points in the first quarter and outpaced the Pistons from start to finish.
Looking at the betting trends, the Clippers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a win of more than 10 points and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall. The 76ers are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 home games, 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a winning record and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the Clippers are 7-3-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings overall, the Clippers are 3-10 ATS in the last 13 meetings overall and the Clippers are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in Philadelphia.
The Clippers are keeping an eye on John Wall who is listed as day to day, while the 76ers will be without Tyrese Maxey who is still out. Both teams are coming into this meeting with plenty of momentum, so we’re in for a good contest here. The Clippers are only 3-10 ATS in the last 13 meetings overall, so I’ll stick with the 76ers who are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 home games.
