The Milwaukee Bucks and the Cleveland Cavaliers duke it out at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their last nine games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after blowing past the Pelicans in a 128-119 road win on Monday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with 42 points and 10 rebounds on 12 of 17 shooting, Brook Lopez added 30 points with seven rebounds and three assists while Jrue Holiday tallied 18 points with 11 assists. As a team, the Bucks shot a healthy 55 percent from the field and 13 of 40 from the 3-point line as they leaned heavily on Antetokounmpo and Lopez to put on 100 points in three quarters, before holding off a late rally from the Pelicans to earn the impressive road win.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in fine form as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall and they will be gunning for a fifth straight victory after routing the Jazz in a 122-99 home win on Monday. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 23 points on eight of 12 shooting, Cedi Osman added 22 points on eight of 10 shooting from the bench and Jarrett Allen chipped in with 20 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks. As a team, the Cavaliers shot a sizzling 61 percent from the field and 15 of 26 from the 3-point line as they dominated this one right from the start and never took their foot off the gas, outscoring the Jazz in every quarter to make it a blowout.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five road games, 6-1-2 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a winning record and 3-8-2 ATS in their last 13 games following a win. The Cavaliers are 14-4-1 ATS in their last 19 home games, 6-1 ATS in their last seven games against a team above .600 and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record.
Head to head, the under is 5-1-1 in the last seven meetings in Cleveland.
The Bucks will likely be shorthanded for this one as Khris Middleton is currently listed as doubtful, while the Cavaliers are keeping an eye on Lamar Stevens who is doubtful for this one. Both teams are coming into this meeting with plenty of momentum, so you could make an argument for either side, but these teams have already met twice this season with the Bucks winning both games by double digits, so I’ll stick with the Bucks to get the minor upset here.
