The Chicago Bulls pay a visit to the Miami Heat at the FTX Arena on Tuesday night.
The Chicago Bulls have been in a major slump as they’ve lost seven of their last nine games and they will be hoping to arrest a four-game slide after getting blown out by the Timberwolves in a 150-126 road loss on Sunday. DeMar DeRozan led the team with 29 points and six assists, Nikola Vucevic added 23 points with nine rebounds and five assists while Zach LaVine chipped in with 22 points and six assists. As a team, the Bulls shot 52 percent from the field and 16 of 38 from the 3-point line, but their problems on the defensive end were on full display here as the Timberwolves were allowed to shoot a ridiculous 65 percent from the field which was too much to overcome by the third quarter.
Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been in pretty good shape as they’ve won five of their last six games and they will be aiming to build on their four-game win streak after beating the Spurs in a 111-101 road win in Mexico City on Saturday. Jimmy Butler led the way with 26 points on nine of 15 shooting, Bam Adebayo tallied 22 points with 13 rebounds while Tyler Herro chipped in with 21 points, six rebounds and seven assists. As a team, the Heat shot 51 percent from the field and 11 of 30 from the 3-point line as they got off to a sloppy start and trailed for most of the game, until the fourth quarter where they outscored the Spurs by 31-17 to pull away and keep their win streak alive.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bulls are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, 1-6 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 2-7 ATS in their last nine games overall. The Heat are 3-14-1 ATS in their last 18 home games, 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight games overall.
Head to head, the over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings overall, the Bulls are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall and the Bulls are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Miami.
The Bulls could be a little shorthanded again as Javonte Green is listed as day to day, while the Heat are keeping eyes on Dewayne Dedmon, Kyle Lowry and Caleb Martin who are all questionable. The Bulls have been mired in a terrible slump and their confidence took a real shot to the guts after allowing the Timberwolves to put 150 on them on Sunday. The Heat are a little banged up, but they’ve been playing well and should be well rested as they haven’t seen the court since Saturday.
