The Detroit Pistons play host to the Sacramento Kings at Little Caesars Arena on Friday night.
The Sacramento Kings have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their last eight games and they will be eager to stay hot after outlasting the Raptors in a 124-123 road win on Wednesday. De’Aaron Fox led the way with 27 points and 10 assists, Malik Monk added 24 points off the bench while Domantas Sabonis tallied 21 points with 20 rebounds and seven assists on 10 of 13 shooting. As a team, the Kings shot 48 percent from the field and 17 of 46 from the 3-point line as they struggled for most of the game to trail by as many as 16 points at one stage, but they exploded for 36 points in the fourth quarter to steal the game on free throws in a tight finish.
Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost four of their last six games, but they will be feeling better after arresting a three-game skid with a 141-134 overtime road win on Wednesday. Alec Burks led the way with 27 points on eight of 12 shooting off the bench, Killian Hayes added 25 points with seven rebounds and eight assists while Bojan Bogdanovic chipped in with 24 points. As a team, the Pistons shot 51 percent from the field and 18 of 40 from the 3-point line as they squandered a 13-point lead in the fourth quarter, before they made up for it in overtime where they held the Hornets to just seven points to win comfortably in the end.
Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games following a win. The Pistons are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five home games, 8-1-2 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the over is 10-4-1 in the last 15 meetings in Detroit, the Kings are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and the Kings are 4-1-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Detroit.
The Kings are keeping an eye on Kevin Huerter who is questionable, while the Pistons are still without Isaiah Livers and Cade Cunningham. The Kings are coming into this meeting as the team in better form and they would’ve taken so much confidence from their gritty overtime road win over the Raptors on Wednesday. The Kings are also 4-1-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Detroit and I think that trend will continue here as the Kings get the job done on the road.
