The Golden State Warriors and the Milwaukee Bucks collide at the Fiserv Forum on Tuesday night.
The Golden State Warriors have been in great shape as they’ve won six of their last nine games and they will be hoping to stay hot after routing the Celtics in a 123-107 home win on Saturday. Klay Thompson led the way with 34 points on 14 of 26 shooting, Stephen Curry added 32 points with seven assists while Jordan Poole chipped in with 20 points. As a team, the Warriors shot 51 percent from the field and 13 of 39 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 33 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, before they clamped down defensively and held the Celtics to just 44 points in the second half to make it a big win in the end.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have been in great form as they’ve won seven of their last nine games, but they will be eager to bounce back in this one after having their four-game win streak halted by the lowly Rockets in a 97-92 road loss on Sunday. Jrue Holiday led the team with 25 points and eight assists, Bobby Portis added 17 points with 15 rebounds off the bench while Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied 16 points with 18 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Bucks shot just 36 percent from the field and 12 of 43 from the 3-point line as they poured 31 points in the third quarter to build a nine-point lead, only to go ice-cold in the fourth quarter where they managed just 13 points to allow the Rockets to slip away in the end.
Looking at the betting trends, the Warriors are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 road games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The Bucks are 3-0-2 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a loss.
Head to head, the under is 6-2 in the last eight meetings in Milwaukee.
The Warriors are going to be shorthanded once again as Andrew Wiggins is still out, but they should have Draymond Green back in the lineup. The Bucks should be at full strength for this one, but they are keeping an eye on Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton who are both listed as day to day. The Warriors will be brimming with confidence after taking down the league-leading Celtics in their last outing, but now they’re back on the road where they have won just two of 13. This should be a close contest, but with the Suns’ road record, I’ll stick with the Bucks to bounce back with a win here.
