The Oklahoma City Thunder travel to the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their last seven games, but they will be hoping to bounce back after having their three-game win streak halted by the Grizzlies in a 123-102 road defeat on Wednesday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 26 points and seven assists, Tre Mann added 12 points off the bench while Josh Giddey tallied 10 points with 10 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Thunder shot just 37 percent from the field, 14 of 38 from the 3-point line and they committed 18 turnovers, but they were able to hang with the Grizzlies until the fourth quarter where they managed just 15 points.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in decent shape as they’ve split their last eight games, but they will be hoping to bounce back after getting routed by the Kings in a 106-95 loss last night. Caris LeVert led the team with 22 points, six rebounds and six assists, Darius Garland added 19 points with six assists, Cedi Osman scored 17 points while Evan Mobley chipped in with 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot just 43 percent from the field and 10 of 30 from the 3-point line as they rallied back from an early 13-point deficit, only to get blown out in the fourth quarter where they managed just 15 points.
I will update with betting trends once they become available.
The Thunder were on a nice run before they got stopped by the Grizzlies in a tough loss on Wednesday, so they will like their chances against a banged up Cavaliers squad missing players like Kevin Love and Donovan Mitchell who are both ruled out. You could make an argument for either side here, but the Thunder should be well rested as they haven’t played since Wednesday, and I think they can escape with the upset in this spot.
