The Sacramento Kings and the Cleveland Cavaliers collide at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Friday night.
The Sacramento Kings have been in decent shape as they were riding a three-game win streak before getting stopped in their tracks by the Bucks in a 126-113 road loss on Wednesday. Domantas Sabonis led the team with 23 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists, Harrison Barnes added 20 points on six of 11 shooting while Keegan Murray and De’Aaron Fox each scored 15 points. As a team, the Kings shot 47 percent from the field and 12 of 38 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Bucks for most of the game, until the fourth quarter where they managed just 19 points to allow the Bucks to run away with it in the end.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in great form as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games and they will be looking to stay hot after routing the Lakers in a 116-102 home win on Tuesday. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 43 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals, Jarrett Allen added 24 points, 11 rebounds and three steals while Darius Garland chipped in with 21 points and 11 assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 51 percent from the field and seven of 27 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in a bit of trouble after squandering a nine-point lead in the third quarter, but they didn’t clamp down defensively and held the Lakers to just 19 points in the fourth quarter to pull away and win comfortably in the end.
Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 14-6-1 ATS in their last 21 road games, 14-5 ATS in their last 19 games following a loss of more than 10 points and 13-6 ATS in their last 19 games overall. The Cavaliers are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 home games, 20-7 ATS in their last 27 games following a win of more than 10 points and 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games following a win.
Head to head, the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings overall, the Kings are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Cleveland and the Kings are 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall.
The Kings are keeping an eye on De’Aaron Fox and Terence Davis who are both listed as day to day, while the Cavaliers are still without Kevin Love and Donovan Mitchell is listed as questionable with right lower leg soreness. The Kings were on a nice run before they got stopped in their tracks on Wednesday, but they are a solid 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall and they represent decent value as the underdogs here against the Cavaliers who could be missing their best player.
