The Atlanta Hawks invade the Wells Fargo Center to take on the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night.

The Atlanta Hawks have been in a slump as they’ve lost four of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after falling short to the Heat in a 106-98 loss last night. John Collins led the team with 23 points and 14 rebounds on 11 of 17 shooting, Trae Young added 22 points with 14 assists while DeAndre Hunter chipped in with 18 points. As a team, the Hawks shot just 39 percent from the field and 10 of 36 from the 3-point line as they controlled the first half to build an early 11-point lead, but the second half was a completely different story as they leaked 34 points in the third quarter to see their lead disappear before they managed just 17 points in the fourth quarter to allow the Heat to slip away in the end. Trae Young shot just four of 16 from the field while AJ Griffin shot just three of 13 for his eight points off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers have been in fine form as they’ve won six of their last eight games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after blowing past the Magic in a 133-103 road win last night. Shake Milton led the team with 29 points and seven assists on 10 of 13 shooting, Tobias Harris added 25 points on 10 of 14 shooting, Furkan Korkmaz added 17 points while Paul Reed tallied 12 points with 13 rebounds and two blocks off the bench. As a team, the 76ers shot a sizzling 64 percent from the field and 11 of 27 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 36 points in the first quarter, before they dominated the second quarter by 31-13 to take a 22-point lead into halftime which only grew as the game wore on.

Looking at the betting trends, the Hawks are 18-37 ATS in their last 55 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The 76ers are 6-0 ATS in their last six home games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days’ rest and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings in Philadelphia and the under is 8-1 in the last nine meetings overall.

The Hawks are keeping an eye on Clint Capela who is listed as questionable with dental pain, while the 76ers will again be without Joel Embiid, Matisse Thybulle and Tyrese Maxey. The Hawks have really struggled for consistency over the past couple weeks and their confidence took another hit after last night’s loss to the Heat who are missing half of their team. The Hawks should be able to take advantage of a shorthanded 76ers team, but they’ve been well below their best lately, while the 76ers haven’t missed a beat despite all the injuries. This should be a close one, but I’ll lean towards the Hawks to snap out of their funk with a much-needed win in this spot.
