The Indiana Pacers pay a visit to the Los Angeles Clippers at the crypto.com Arena on Sunday afternoon.
The Indiana Pacers have been in red-hot form as they’ve won 10 of their last 13 games overall and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Nets in a 128-117 home win on Friday. Buddy Hield led the team with 26 points, Myles Turner added 23 points, eight rebounds and three assists on nine of 11 shooting while Tyrese Haliburton chipped in with 21 points, 15 assists and four steals. As a team, the Pacers shot 50 percent from the field and 12 of 34 from the 3-point line as they got off to a sluggish start and fell into an early 12-point deficit which kept them behind for most of the contest, until the fourth quarter where they exploded for 40 points to win comfortably in the end.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been in fair shape as they’ve split their last six games, but they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after falling short against the Nuggets in a 114-104 loss on Friday. John Wall led the team with 23 points on eight of 10 shooting off the bench, Terance Mann added 16 points with five assists on seven of 11 shooting while Marcus Morris chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Clippers shot 54 percent from the field and 11 of 22 from the 3-point line, but without Paul George or Kawhi Leonard in the lineup, the Clippers struggled to match the Nuggets in the first half and were always trailing as they had no answer for the Nuggets’ Aaron Gordon who torched them for 29 points on 12 of 16 shooting.
Looking at the betting trends, the Pacers are 5-0 ATS in their last five road games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 11-2 ATS in their last 13 games overall. The Clippers are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games following a loss, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team above .600 and 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games against a team with a winning record.
Head to head, the over is 4-0 in the last four meetings overall and the Pacers are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings overall.
The Pacers will again be without Chris Duarte and Andrew Nembhard while the Clippers have ruled out Luke Kennard and Paul George with Kawhi Leonard listed as day to day for this one. The Pacers have quietly been one of the hottest teams in the league and they would’ve taken so much confidence from their comeback win over the Nets on Friday and now they’re meeting the Clippers who are just so banged up at the moment. The Pacers are 5-0 TS in their last five road games and I think that trend continues here as they escape with the narrow win.
