The Orlando Magic and the Indiana Pacers duke it out once again at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Monday night.
The Orlando Magic have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost three of their past four games and they will be eager to bounce back after falling painfully short to the Pacers in a 114-113 road loss on Saturday. Franz Wagner led the team with 29 points on nine of 17 shooting, Bol Bol added 22 points with 11 rebounds and two blocks while Mo Bamba chipped in with 21 points and nine rebounds. As a team, the Magic shot just 42 percent from the field and 16 of 42 from the 3-point line as they stayed within striking distance of the Pacers for the entire contest, but they managed just three points in the final 2:14 to allow the Pacers to slip away in the end.
Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have quietly been in red-hot form as they’ve won eight of their last 10 games and they will be gunning for a fifth straight victory after outlasting the Magic on Saturday. Tyrese Haliburton led the way with 22 points and 14 assists on nine of 16 shooting, Myles Turner added 20 points with 11 rebounds while Aaron Nesmith chipped in with 19 points off the bench. As a team, the Pacers shot 45 percent from the field and 18 of 46 from the 3-point line as they poured in 38 points in the third quarter to take control of the contest, before escaping behind their defense to escape with the narrow victory.
Looking at the betting trends, the Magic are 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 road games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games following an ATS win. The Pacers are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games, 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record and 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Head to head, the over is 10-2 in the last 12 meetings overall, the Magic are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and the Magic are 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings in Indiana.
The Magic will again be missing a few players as Moritz Wagner, Paolo Banchero and Cole Anthony are still out, while Wendell Carter Jr remains a game time decision. The Pacers are still missing Kendall Browns, Andrew Nembhard and Chris Duarte. The Magic will be out for revenge in this one after falling just shot to the Pacers on Saturday, but they are only 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 road games, while the Pacers are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games. The Magic did a decent job of hanging in the contest on Saturday, but I think the Pacers dominate this one and win by a bigger margin.
