The Miami Heat play host to the Golden State Warriors at the FTX Arena on Tuesday night.

The Golden State Warriors have yet to really find their groove this season as they’ve lost three of their past four games and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting routed by the Pistons in a 128-114 road loss on Sunday. Stephen Curry led the way with 32 points, six rebounds and three assists, Jordan Poole added 30 points while Andrew Wiggins chipped in with 10 points on four of 15 shooting. As a team, the Warriors shot 42 percent from the field and 12 of 39 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 37 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, but they leaked 71 points in the second and third quarters combined to allow the Pistons to rally past them.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been in similar form as they’ve lost five of their first seven games and they will be hoping to stop a two-game skid after getting stopped by the Kings in a 119-113 road loss on Saturday. Tyler Herro led the team with 34 points on 13 of 22 shooting, Bam Adebayo added 23 points with six rebounds and four assists while Kyle Lowry chipped in with 15 points and five assists. As a team, the Heat shot just 42 percent from the field and 11 of 28 from the 3-point line but they were always fighting an uphill battle in this one after leaking 39 points in the second quarter to take a 22-point deficit into halftime.

Looking at the betting trends, the Warriors are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games following a loss, 5-0 ATS in their last five games following a loss of more than 10 points and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall. The Heat are 0-7 ATS in their last seven home games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 1-7 ATS in their last eight games overall.

Head to head, the over is 5-0 in the last five meetings overall and the Warriors are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in Miami.

These two squads last met on Thursday and it was the Warriors who cruised to a 123-110 win behind 33 points from Curry who has easily been the most consistent Warriors player this season. The Heat got next to no support from their teammates in that loss and Herro had a horror game of just seven points on three of 12 shooting. You really couldn’t back either team with much confidence at the moment, but the Warriors are 5-0 ATS in their last five games following a double-digit loss and I think that trend continues here as the Warriors get the much-needed win to steady their season.
