The Miami Heat pay a visit to the Sacramento Kings at the Golden 1 Center on Saturday night.

The Miami Heat have been in a real funk to start the season as they’ve lost four of their first six games and they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting routed by the Warriors in a 123-110 road loss on Thursday. Jimmy Butler led the team with 27 points, eight assists and six steals, Bam Adebayo added 26 points with eight rebounds, four steals and three blocks. As a team, the Heat shot 44 percent from the field and 14 of 43 from the 3-point line which was good enough to keep pace with the Warriors until the final 5:59 where the Warriors outscored them by 20-10. Tyler Herro had a night to forget as he scored just seven points on three of 12 shooting while Duncan Robinson scored just three points on one of seven shooting off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings are still searching for their first victory of the season, and they will be hoping to arrest a four-game slide after getting thrashed by the Grizzlies in a 125-110 loss on Thursday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 27 points on 11 of 19 shooting, Harrison Barnes added 20 points while Keegan Murray chipped in with 18 points. As a team, the Kings shot 48 percent from the field and 12 of 38 from the 3-point line as their starters put up a fight for the entire contest, but they just needed more help from their reserves as Malik Monk was the only bench player to score more than seven points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Heat are 15-7-1 ATS in their last 23 road games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Kings are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games, 6-2 ATS in their last eight games following a double-digit loss at home and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games following a loss of more than 10 points.

Head to head, the over is 19-7 in the last 26 meetings overall, the Heat are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Sacramento and the Heat are 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall.

The Heat will again be missing Victor Oladipo and possibly Dewayne Dedmon, while the Kings are sweating on the availability of Kevin Huerter who is questionable for this one. The Heat really need a win to get their season back on track as they’ve really struggled to this point, but that’s nothing compared to how bad the Kings have been playing. The Kings could pull off the upset here, but I’d rather stick with the Heat to get the much-needed win and cover on the road at the short line. Surely the combination of Butler, Lowry and Herro can take down this winless Kings squad.

The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a PickDawgz site consensus.
