The Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics meet Thursday in game 6 of the NBA Finals at the TD Garden. The Golden State Warriors look to win their seventh title in franchise history and fourth since 2015. The Boston Celtics need a win to save their season and force a game 7 on Sunday.
The Golden State Warriors are averaging 113 points on 48.7 percent shooting and allowing 108.9 points on 44.3 percent shooting. The Boston Celtics are averaging 107.2 points on 45.4 percent shooting and allowing 101.6 points on 43.5 percent shooting. Jayson Tatum is averaging 26.2 points and 6.9 rebounds, while Jaylen Brown is averaging 22.6 points and 3.6 assists. The Warriors are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 road games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Celtics are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 Thursday games and 17-8-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall. The over is 4-1 in Warriors last 5 overall. The under is 7-3 in Celtics last 10 games as a favorite. The Warriors are 1-3-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Boston and 6-13-2 ATS in the last 21 meetings.
The Boston Celtics have bounced back time and time again from losses in these playoffs, and they seem to play their best with their backs against the wall. You'd assume the Celtics get the job done behind their home crowd. However, the Golden State Warriors are an experienced team that's gotten the job done in these spots a lot over the years. I was on the Warriors for the series because of the experience factor, and I wouldn't be shocked if they closed things out here. Trends and what not point to the Celtics forcing a game 7, and it would be nice to get a deciding game on Sunday, but the value to me is with the free points and the Warriors.
