The Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics meet Friday in game 4 of the NBA Finals at the TD Garden. The Golden State Warriors look to even up the series at 2-2 with a victory. The Boston Celtics have a chance to take a comfortable 3-1 series lead.
The Golden State Warriors are averaging 113 points on 48.7 percent shooting and allowing 108.9 points on 44.3 percent shooting. Jordan Poole is the third double-digit scorer and Andrew Wiggins is grabbing 6.8 rebounds. The Golden State Warriors are shooting 38.3 percent from beyond the arc and 75.6 percent from the free throw line. The Golden State Warriors are allowing 37.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 43.6 rebounds per game.
The Boston Celtics are averaging 107.2 points on 45.4 percent shooting and allowing 101.6 points on 43.5 percent shooting. Jayson Tatum is averaging 26.3 points and 6.5 rebounds, while Jaylen Brown is averaging 22.9 points and 3.6 assists. The Boston Celtics are allowing 33.2 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 42.9 rebounds per game.
The Warriors are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Celtics are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 Friday games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The over is 4-1 in Warriors last 5 overall. The over is 4-1 in Celtics last 5 Friday games. The Warriors are 0-3-1 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Boston and 5-15-2 ATS in the last 22 meetings.
The Boston Celtics were in complete control of game 3 and despite some issues in the third quarter, they were never in real danger of losing that game. The Golden State Warriors have defensively issues they need to clean up, and it's why they're trailing in the series. The Boston Celtics should be favored, especially at home. With all that said, the Warriors are an experienced roster that's been on this stage endless times, and I don't think they're going to go down quietly. The Warriors had a second half lead in game 3 and had their chances, and the offensive firepower is still there. I still see value with the Warriors and free points.
