The Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers meet Sunday in Game 4 of the NBA Playoffs at the Wells Fargo Center. The Miami Heat look for a win to take a 3-1 series lead. The Philadelphia 76ers look for another win to even up the series at 2-2.
The Miami Heat are averaging 106.4 points on 45.3 percent shooting and allowing 97.6 points on 44.4 percent shooting. Jimmy Butler is averaging 27.4 points and 7.9 rebounds, while Tyler Herro is averaging 15.1 points and 4 rebounds. Bam Adebayo is the third double-digit scorer and Victor Oladipo is grabbing 4 rebounds. The Miami Heat are shooting 33.4 percent from beyond the arc and 79.9 percent from the free throw line. The Miami Heat are allowing 32 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 40.8 rebounds per game.
The Philadelphia 76ers are averaging 107 points on 47.6 percent shooting and allowing 102.6 points on 44.2 percent shooting. Joel Embiid is averaging 25 points and 2.1 assists, while Tyrese Maxey is averaging 22.4 points and 4.2 assists. James Harden is the third double-digit scorer and Tobias Harris is dishing 3.3 assists. The Philadelphia 76ers are shooting 37.6 percent from beyond the arc and 85.6 percent from the free throw line. The Philadelphia 76ers are allowing 30.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 40.7 rebounds per game.
The Heat are 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 road games and 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games overall. The 76ers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Sunday games. The under is 7-1 in Heat last 8 overall. The under is 6-2 in 76ers last 8 overall. The Heat are 7-3-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings.
The Philadelphia 76ers have new-found confidence after their game 3 wins and the return of Embiid and now oddsmakers are starting to get crazy. I say let's pump the brakes a bit. Embiid didn't look like himself despite his return, and it's clear he's not comfortable with the mask. The 76ers also didn't exactly light it up in their victory. While credit should go to Philly's defense, the Miami Heat just stunk up the joint for 48 minutes with a clunky offense. I don't think the 76ers did anything special, and I honestly need to see more to truly believe they're back in this series. We're still getting a free bucket with the better team. Give me the Heat.
