The Milwaukee Bucks and the Chicago Bulls duke it out at the United Center on Tuesday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been in decent shape as they’ve won six of their past 10 games, but they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after coming up short against the Mavericks in a 118-112 loss on Sunday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 28 points, 10 rebounds and two assists, Jrue Holiday added 20 points with nine assists while Bobby Portis chipped in with 17 points off the bench. As a team, the Bucks shot 44 percent from the field and 15 of 40 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Mavericks in a tight contest, until the Mavericks went on a pivotal 8-0 run in the fourth quarter to pull away and escape with the game in the end. Khris Middleton had a rough night as he scored just 11 points on three of 14 shooting while Wesley Matthews scored just two points on zero of four shooting.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been in decent shape as they’ve won three of their past five games, but they will be aiming to bounce back in this one after getting thrashed by the Heat in a 127-109 loss on Saturday. Zach LaVine led the team with 33 points, DeMar DeRozan added 26 points while Nikola Vucevic tallied 12 points with 10 rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Bulls shot 43 percent from the field and nine of 34 from the 3-point line, but they leaked 35 points in the second quarter to fall behind by nine points at halftime and things only got worse in the third quarter where the deficit ballooned to 21 points.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 road games and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The Bulls are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 home games, 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record and 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games overall.
Head to head, the under is 6-1 in the last seven meetings overall, the Bucks are 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings overall and the Bucks are 10-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Chicago.
The Bucks have cooled off a little with a couple losses on the trot, so they will be eager to get back on track with a win here, while the Bulls were building some nice momentum before getting toasted by the Heat on Saturday. The Bulls have home-court advantage and they should be well-rested as they haven’t played since Saturday, but I’m sticking with the more consistent Bucks at the short line as they are 10-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Chicago.
