The Sacramento Kings travel to the Amway Center to take on the Orlando Magic on Saturday night.
The Sacramento Kings have been in poor form as they’ve lost seven of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping for another win after stopping a three-game skid with a 110-109 road win over the Pacers on Wednesday. Davion Mitchell led the team with 25 points and seven assists, Chimezie Metu added 22 points on eight of 11 shooting off the bench while Damian Jones chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Kings shot 52 percent from the field and 12 of 37 from the 3-point line as they climbed their way back into the contest after trailing by 11 points in the third quarter, before they escaped with the narrow win at the buzzer thanks to Jones who made the game-winning tip shot to steal the game for the Kings.
Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have been in decent form as they’ve split their last eight games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting thrashed by the Thunder in a 118-102 road loss on Wednesday. Chuma Okeke led the team with 19 points, Cole Anthony added 17 points with 11 assists while Franz Wagner chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Magic shot just 38 percent from the field and 17 of 51 from the 3-point line as they poured in 34 points in the first quarter to take an early 13-point lead, but it didn’t last at all as they Thunder dominated from that point onwards to earn the win. All five starters finished in double figures in scoring for the Magic, but they needed more from their bench, as Jeff Dowtin scored just four points on two of eight shooting while Ignas Brazdeikis finished with just three points on one of eight shooting.
Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record, 13-6 ATS in their last 19 games against a team below .400 and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games overall. The Magic are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record, 14-30-1 ATS in their last 45 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the over is 5-0 in the last five meetings overall, the Kings are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Orlando and the Kings are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall.
The Kings will again be without Domantas Sabonis, Richaun Holmes and De’Aaron Fox, while the Magic have ruled out Jalen Suggs for this one. The Kings were really struggling before their thrilling win over the Pacers on Wednesday, so they full of confidence and well-rested for this one, while the Magic were on a nice run before getting routed by the Thunder in their last outing. You really couldn’t bet on either team with much confidence these days, but the Kings were lucky to get past the slumping Pacers in their last outing and I don’t think they’ll be so lucky this time. Give me the Magic to bounce back with a narrow win and cover at home.
