The Memphis Grizzlies pay a visit to the Indiana Pacers at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Tuesday night.
The Memphis Grizzlies have been in fine form as they’ve won six of their last eight games overall and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after taking down the Thunder in a 125-118 road win on Sunday. Desmond Bane led the team with 21 points, Jaren Jackson Jr. added 18 points, Ja Morant scored 17 points with 10 assists while Dillon Brooks retuned to chip in with 15 points. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 47 percent from the field and 11 of 29 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 38 points in the first quarter to take the early double-digit lead, before pouring in another 34 points in the third quarter to push the margin out to 18 points before the Thunder rallied in the fourth quarter to keep the final scores respectable.
Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their last five games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back after coming up painfully short to the Hawks in a 131-128 road loss on Sunday. Tyrese Haliburton led the team with 25 points and 10 assists, Buddy Hield added 25 points, Duane Washington Jr scored 22 points off the bench while Terry Taylor chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Pacers shot 51 percent from the field and 15 of 35 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and allowed 77 points in the first half to trail by as many as 19 points at one stage, which proved to be just enough in the end as they got within two points late in the fourth quarter, but no closer.
Looking at the betting trends, the Grizzlies are 20-8 ATS in their last 28 road games, 20-8 ATS in their last 28 games against a team with a losing record and 23-10 ATS in their last 33 games overall. The Pacers are 2-7 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a winning record, 3-9 ATS in their last 12 home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a loss.
Head to head, the over is 5-0 in the last five meetings overall, the Grizzlies are 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings overall and the Grizzlies are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Indiana.
The Grizzlies are likely be to shorthanded in this one as Ja Morant is currently listed as doubtful due to back soreness, while the Pacers could be missing Goga Bitadze, Lance Stephenson, Chris Duarte and Malcolm Brogdon who are all listed as questionable. The Grizzlies are 20-8 ATS in their last 28 road games, while the Pacers are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 home games. The Grizzlies have already shown us this season that they can win without Morant and I think we’re going to get reminded of that in this one as the Grizzlies should still be too good for the Pacers.
