The Sacramento Kings invade the United Center to take on the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night.
The Sacramento Kings have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their past seven games, but they will be eager to bounce back here after having their two-game win streak halted by the Nets in a 109-85 road loss on Monday. De’Aaron Fox led the way with 26 points on nine of 18 shooting, Davion Mitchell added 13 points while Donte DiVincenzo chipped in with 12 points, eight rebounds and five steals. As a team, the Kings shot just 34 percent from the field and nine of 35 from the 3-point line as they struggled to find their offense and trailed by seven points going into halftime, before things really got ugly in the second half where they were outscored by 54-37. Justin Holiday had a rough night as he scored just seven points on three of 12 shooting while Harrison Branes finished with just six points on three of nine shooting.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their past 10 games overall and they will be aiming for a fifth straight victory after taking down the Spurs in a 120-109 home win on Monday. DeMar DeRozan led the team with 40 points and seven assists on 16 of 24 shooting, Nikola Vucevic led the team with 25 points, 16 rebounds and five assists while Coby White chipped in with 24 points and six assists. As a team, the Bulls shot 52 percent from the field and 10 of 24 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Spurs in a close contest, until the fourth quarter where they outscored the Spurs by 37-20 to win comfortably in the end.
Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a winning record, 4-11 ATS in their last 15 road games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Bulls are 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games, 34-16-1 ATS in their last 51 games against a team with a losing record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the under is 7-2 in the last nine meetings in Chicago and the Kings are 16-5-1 ATS in the last 22 meetings in Chicago.
The Kings will again be without Terence Davis while Jeremy Lamb is currently listed as questionable with an ankle injury. The Bulls will be missing Lonzo Ball, Zach LaVine and Patrick Williams. The Kings own the edge in betting trends as they are 16-5-1 ATS in the last 22 meetings in Chicago, but the Bulls are clearly the team in better form and they will be eager to build on their current four game win streak. I’m leaning towards the Bulls to stay hot with another win and cover at home.
