The Milwaukee Bucks play host to the Detroit Pistons at the Fiserv Forum on Monday night.
The Detroit Pistons have been in terrible form as they’ve lost 18 of their last 20 games overall, but they will be eager to build some momentum after outlasting the Spurs in a 117-116 overtime home win on Saturday. Hamidou Diallo led the team with 34 points, 14 rebounds and five steals, Saddiq Bey added 21 points with 17 rebounds, Luka Garza scored 20 points while Cassius Stanley chipped in with 19 points. As a team, the Pistons shot just 40 percent from the field and nine of 35 from the 3-point line as they worked their way back from a 17-point deficit in regulation, before escaping in overtime thanks to a clutch 3-pointer from Bey with just 2.1 seconds remaining.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have been in great form as they’ve won nine of their past 12 games and they will be aiming for a seventh straight victory after blowing past the Pelicans in a 136-113 home win on Saturday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with a triple-double of 35 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists, Jordan Nwora added 23 points on nine of 11 shooting off the bench while Jrue Holiday chipped in with 21 points and six assists. As a team, the Bucks shot 53 percent from the field and a sizzling 23 of 48 from the 3-point line as they dominated from start to finish, pouring in 37 points in the second quarter to take the lead into halftime, before exploding for 40 points in the fourth quarter to make it a complete blowout.
Looking at the betting trends, the Pistons are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team above .600 and 5-1 ATS in their last six road games against a team with a winning home record. The Bucks are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the Pistons are 1-7-1 ATS in the last nine meetings in Milwaukee and the Pistons are 9-23-2 ATS in the last 34 meetings overall.
The Pistons will be shorthanded once again as Frank Jackson and Kelly Olynyk are both still out, while the Bucks will be without Donte DiVincenzo while Khris Middleton is listed as questionable due to personal reasons. The Pistons will be feeling great following their shocking overtime win over the Spurs on Saturday, but no one is expecting them to repeat that performance against the Bucks who are riding a six-game win streak. The line is quite hefty, but the Pistons are 1-7-1 ATS in the last nine meetings in Milwaukee, so I’m taking the Bucks to run riot in this spot.
