The Chicago Bulls pay a visit to the Indiana Pacers at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday afternoon.
The Chicago Bulls have been in red-hot form as they’ve won nine of their past 11 games overall and they will be gunning for a sixth straight victory after routing the Hawks in a 131-117 home win on Wednesday. Zach LaVine led the team with 25 points and five assists on 10 of 13 shooting, DeMar DeRozan added 20 points with eight assists, Coby White added 17 points with 12 assists while Nikola Vucevic chipped in with 16 points, 20 rebounds and three steals. As a team, the Bulls shot a sizzling 61 percent from the field and 10 of 22 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 74 points in the first half to build a 27-point lead which allowed them to cruise in the second half.
Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in a slump as they’ve lost five of their past seven games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after falling short to the Hornets in a 116-108 home loss on Wednesday. Caris LeVert led the team with 27 points, seven rebounds and six assists, Domantas Sabonis added 15 points with 18 rebounds and seven assists while Myles Turner and Oshae Brissett each scored 14 points. As a team, the Pacers shot just 41 percent from the field and 17 of 45 from the 3-point line as they failed to keep pace with the Hornets right from the start, allowing 37 points in the second quarter to trail by as many as 18 points, before rallying in the fourth quarter where they cut the deficit to just four points.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bulls are 36-16 ATS in their last 52 games against a team with a losing record and 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall. The Pacers are 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven games following a loss and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the under is 20-7 in the last 27 meetings in Indiana, the Bulls are 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall and the Bulls are 5-11 ATS in the last 16 meetings in Indiana.
The Bulls will once again be without a bunch of players including Lonzo Ball, Tony Bradley and Ersan Ilyasova, while the Pacers will again be without Jeremy Lamb, Malcolm Brogdon, and Chris Duarte. These two teams last met on Sunday and it was the Bulls who got the win behind by 32 points from LaVine. The Pacers are just in a slump at the moment, they’re banged up and I don’t see them keeping up with the Bulls in this spot.
