The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers meet Sunday in NBA action at the Crypto.com Arena. The Denver Nuggets look for a win after splitting their last 12 games. The Los Angeles Clippers look for a win after splitting their last six games.
The Denver Nuggets are averaging 106.4 points on 46.4 percent shooting and allowing 106.8 points on 46.7 percent shooting. Nikola Jokic is averaging 25.9 points and 13.5 rebounds, while Will Barton is averaging 15.1 points and 5.3 rebounds. Aaron Gordon is the third double-digit scorer and Monte Morris is grabbing 2.7 rebounds. The Denver Nuggets are shooting 34.7 percent from beyond the arc and 76.3 percent from the free throw line. The Denver Nuggets are allowing 34.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 42.4 rebounds per game.
The Los Angeles Clippers are averaging 105.5 points on 45.1 percent shooting and allowing 104.8 points on 44.1 percent shooting. Paul George is averaging 24.7 points and 7.1 rebounds, while Reggie Jackson is averaging 17.2 points and 4.2 assists. Marcus Morris Sr. is the third double-digit scorer and Luke Kennard is grabbing 3.5 rebounds. The Los Angeles Clippers are shooting 35.8 percent from beyond the arc and 78.5 percent from the free throw line. The Los Angeles Clippers are allowing 33.7 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 43.9 rebounds per game.
The Nuggets are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Sunday games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss. The Clippers are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 home games and 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS win. The over is 13-3 in Nuggets last 16 overall. The under is 5-1 in Clippers last 6 overall. The Nuggets are 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Los Angeles and 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings.
This line makes no sense to me, given that the Los Angeles Clippers will be without the majority of their top players and now just lost PG13 for about a month or so. The Denver Nuggets have issues of their own they need to figure out, but they'll have the best player on the floor for this game, and the road team has won eight of the last 10 meetings between these two clubs. This line probably changes heading into the game, but I'll side with the Nuggets regardless of what it drops to.
