The Houston Rockets and the Chicago Bulls duke it out at the United Center on Monday night.

The Houston Rockets have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their past six games, but they will be eager to build some momentum after blowing past the slumping Pistons in a 116-107 road win on Saturday. Christian Wood led the team with 21 points and eight rebounds, Eric Gordon added 18 points with five assists while Garrison Matthews chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Rockets shot 49 percent from the field and 14 of 38 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 38 points in the first quarter to build an early 20-point lead, which allowed them to cruise in the second half as the margin remained at double-digits until the final possession.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been in great form as they’ve won six of their past nine games and they will be looking to stay hot after taking down the Lakers in a 115-110 home win last night. DeMar DeRozan led the team with 38 points and six assists, Nikola Vucevic and Lonzo Ball each scored 19 points while Alex Caruso chipped in with 17 points and nine rebounds in a rare start. As a team, the Bulls shot 43 percent from the field and 10 of 30 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble after trailing by five points in the fourth quarter, but their defense was the difference in a close contest as they held the Lakers scoreless in the final 1:22 to steal the game late.

Looking at the betting trends, the Rockets are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games overall. The Bulls are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games, 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games against a team with a losing record and 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games against a team with a losing road record.

The Rockets are already without Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr. while Armoni Brooks is currently listed as questionable for this one, while the Bulls are still without Zach LaVine and they just lost Derrick Jones Jr. to a hamstring injury he suffered last night. The Rockets are missing so many key players and they have been well below their best lately, but they still look tempting at the line as they are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games overall. The Bulls are certainly favorites in this spot, especially after last night’s gritty win over the Lakers, but the line just seems a little too hefty for me. I think the Bulls get the win at home, but I’m sticking with the Rockets to get the backdoor cover as they hang around till the end in this one.
