The Miami Heat pay a visit to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Monday night.
The Miami Heat have been in decent shape as they’ve split their last eight games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after blowing past the Bulls in a 118-92 home win on Saturday. Duncan Robinson led the team with 26 points on nine of 13 shooting, Dewayne Dedmon added 20 points with 12 rebounds on eight of 13 shooting, Tyler Herro scored 17 points off the bench while Kyle Lowry steered the offense with 16 points and 14 assists. As a team, the Heat shot 49 percent from the field and 19 of 43 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 39 points in the first quarter to take a 13-point lead into halftime, before making it a complete blowout in the second half where they held the Bulls to just 40 points.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in great form as they’ve won seven of their past nine games and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after routing the Kings in a 117-103 home win on Saturday. Isaac Okoro led the team with 20 points on seven of nine shooting, Jarrett Allen added 19 points with 11 rebounds and three blocks, Cedi Osman scored 18 points off the bench while Darius Garland chipped in with 16 points and 13 assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 46 percent from the field and 12 of 31 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 36 points in the first quarter to jump out to an early double-digit lead, before exploding for 45 points in the second quarter to take a 29-point lead into halftime.
Looking at the betting trends, the Heat are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games following a win of more than 10 points and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games against a team with a winning record. The Cavaliers are 6-0 ATS in their last six home games, 12-2 ATS in their last 14 games against a team with a winning record and 21-5 ATS in their last 26 games overall.
Head to head, the over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings overall and the Heat are 11-3 ATS in the last 14 meetings overall.
The Heat will be shorthanded once again for this one as Jimmy Butler and Caleb Martin have both been ruled out already. The Cavaliers have been without Collin Sexton for quite some time now, but they are still coming into this one with plenty of momentum and they just blew past the Kings on Saturday. The Heat are 11-3 ATS in the last 14 meetings overall, but with all their injuries, I’m leaning towards the Cavaliers who are 6-0 ATS in their last six home games.
