The Cleveland Cavaliers play host to the Sacramento Kings at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Saturday night.
The Sacramento Kings have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their past eight games and they will be hoping to bounce back after falling just short to the Hornets in a 124-123 road loss last night. De’Aaron led the team with 31 points and five assists on 11 of 17 shooting, Terence Davis added 19 points with eight rebounds while Tyrese Haliburton, Marvin Bagley and Buddy Hield each scored 15 points. As a team, the Kings shot 47 percent from the field and 14 of 41 from the 3-point line as they poured in 71 points in the first half t o lead for most of the game, before coming up painfully short as Fox missed two big free throws with just 2.4 seconds remaining.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in great shape as they’ve won six of their past eight games and they will be aiming for a third straight win after blowing past the Timberwolves in a 123-106 road win last night. Jarrett Allen led the team with 21 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks, Lauri Markkanen added 19 points on seven of eight shooting while Kevin Love chipped in with 18 points, 13 rebounds and four assists off the bench. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 54 percent from the field and 13 of 33 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the games with 65 points in the first half to lead by as many as 33 points.
Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 15-6 ATS in their last 21 road games, 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 games playing on zero days’ rest and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Cavaliers are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 19-7 ATS in their last 26 games overall.
Head to head, the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings overall, the Kings are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and the Kings are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings in Cleveland.
The Kings were building nicely before falling just short to the Hornets last night, so they will be eager to make up for it, especially Fox who could’ve won it late for the Kings at the free throw line. The Cavaliers are coming into this game with plenty of momentum, they just tore apart the Timberwolves and they are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games. I’m sticking with the Cavaliers to stay hot with another win and cover at home.
