The Milwaukee Bucks pay a visit to the Miami Heat at the FTX Arena on Wednesday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been in red-hot form as they’ve won 10 of their past 11 games and they will be gunning for a third straight victory after taking down the Cavaliers in a 112-104 home win on Monday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 27 points, 12 rebounds and two assists, Jrue Holiday added 20 points with seven rebounds and eight assists while Khris Middleton chipped in with 21 points and eight assists. As a team, the Bucks shot 46 percent from the field and 13 of 32 from the 3-point line as they poured in 36 points in the second quarter to take the lead into halftime, before making another run in the third quarter to push the margin out to 13 points.
Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their past five games and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting thrashed by the Grizzlies in a 105-90 home loss on Monday. Tyler Herro led the team with 24 points on 11 of 19 shooting off the bench, Kyle Lowry added 17 points with eight assists while Jimmy Butler and Duncan Robinson each scored 10 points. As a team, the Heat shot 46 percent from the field and just six of 22 from the 3-point line, but they were always fighting an uphill battle after allowing the Grizzlies to open the game on a ferocious 20-6 run to take the early double-digit lead which they held for the entire game.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 5-1 ATS in their last six games playing on one days’ rest and 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games against a team with a winning home record. The Heat are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the over is 21-9-1 in the last 31 meetings in Miami and the Bucks are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.
The Bucks have quietly been one of the hottest teams in the league lately and they are just about at full strength except for George Hill who is listed as day to day for this one. The Heat will once again be without Jimmy Butler and their confidence took another hit after getting held to just 90 points in a loss to the Grizzlies on Monday. The Bucks are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall and they just smashed the Heat by 22 points a few nights ago, so I’m sticking with the Bucks to get the win and cover here.
