The Indiana Pacers play host to the Milwaukee Bucks at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Sunday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been in great shape as they’ve won eight of their past 10 games and they will be eager to build on their current six-game win streak after beating the Nuggets in a 120-109 road win on Friday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 24 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists on 10 of 13 shooting, Khris Middleton added 17 points with seven assists while Jrue Holiday chipped in with 16 points and six assists. As a team, the Bucks shot a sizzling 63 percent from the field and 17 of 47 from the 3-point line as they took the early double-digit lead after holding the Nuggets to just 16 points in the first quarter, before making another push in the third quarter as the lead ballooned to 20 points. Pat Connaughton provided the spark off the bench 20 points on seven of eight shooting.
Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in decent shape as they’ve won three of their past four games and they will be looking to stay hot after making light work of the Raptors in a 114-97 home win on Friday. Domantas Sabonis led the team with 23 points and 18 rebounds, Caris LeVert added 19 points, Myles Turner scored 17 points with 10 rebounds and two blocks while Malcolm Brogdon chipped in with 11 points and 12 assists. As a team, the Pacers shot 48 percent from the field and 11 of 39 from the 3-point line, but they were great defensively as they held the Raptors to just 22 points in the second quarter to take a nine-point lead into halftime, before running away with it in the fourth quarter where they restricted the Raptors to just 16 points.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games against a team with a losing record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games against a team with a winning home record. The Pacers are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games, 11-2 ATS in their last 13 games against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a win of more than 10 points.
Head to head, the under is 7-2 in the last nine meetings in Indiana and the Bucks are 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall.
The Bucks come into this meeting as the team in better form as they’re currently riding a six-game win streak, but the Pacers are a team on the rise as they’re starting to get healthy again and they are coming fresh off a big win over the Trail Blazers. It’s hard to split these two squads at the moment which is why the line is so short, but the Bucks are 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall and I think that trend continues here as they escape with the narrow win and cover.
