The Chicago Bulls play host to the Indiana Pacers at the United Center on Monday night.
The Indiana Pacers have been in decent shape as they’ve won six of their past 11 games and they will be looking to build some momentum after arresting a three-game skid with a 111-94 home win over the Pelicans on Saturday. Domantas Sabonis led the team with 20 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, Justin Holiday added 17 points while Malcolm Brogdon chipped in with 16 points and four assists. As a team, the Pacers shot 46 percent from the field and 14 of 38 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Pelicans in the first quarter and took an early double-digit lead, before exploding for 38 points in the third quarter where the lead ballooned to 32 points which allowed the Pacers to rest their starters early.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been in fine form as they’ve won six of their past eight games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after taking down the Knicks in a 109-103 home win last night. DeMar DeRozan led the team with 31 points and five assists, Zach LaVine added 21 points, Coby White scored 14 points off the bench while Lonzo Ball chipped in with 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Bulls shot 42 percent from the field and 11 of 29 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble after losing their early lead in the third quarter, but like we’ve seen from them all season, they rallied in the fourth quarter with 37 points to take the win and improve to 6-2 at home this season.
Looking at the betting trends, the Pacers are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games against a team with a winning record. The Bulls are 4-0 ATS in their last four games playing on zero days’ rest, 20-7 ATS in their last 27 games against a team with a losing record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall.
Head to head, the over is 5-1 in the last six meetings overall and the Pacers are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings overall.
The Pacers weren’t looking too good during their three-game skid, but they’re coming into this one with a bit of momentum after dismantling the Pelicans on Saturday. This will be the second game of a back to back set for the Bulls, but last night’s game was at home and they are actually 4-0 ATS in their last four games playing on zero days’ rest. The Pacers are capable of pulling off the minor upset, but I think the Bulls represent decent value with the short line in this spot.
