The Milwaukee Bucks pay a visit to the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been struggling for form lately as they’ve lost five of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting stopped by the Wizards in a 101-94 road loss on Sunday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 29 points, 18 rebounds and five assists, Grayson Allen added 19 points, Jrue Holiday scored 14 points while Bobby Portis chipped in with 13 points, 13 rebounds and four steals. As a team, the Bucks shot just 39 percent from the field and 10 of 36 from the 3-point line as they started well to take the lead into halftime, before getting blown out in the third quarter by 33-19 as their offense stalled. Portis looked decent in the starting role, but it left their second unit really stretched and it cost them as no bench player scored more than seven points.
Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers have been in great shape as they’ve won eight of their first 11 games, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after having their six-game win streak halted by the Knicks in a 103-96 home loss last night. Furkan Korkmaz led the team with 19 points, Tyrese Maxey added 16 points with nine rebounds and five assists while Andre Drummond racked up 14 points with 25 rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the 76ers shot just 38 percent from the field and 13 of 40 from the 3-point line as they fought back from an early 19-point lead by holding the Knicks to just 14 points in the third quarter, before falling just short as they just had no answer for the Knicks’ Julius Randle who scorched them for 31 points.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall. The 76ers are 4-0 ATS in their last four games playing on zero days’ rest, 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record and 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the under is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall, the Bucks are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Philadelphia and the Bucks are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.
The Bucks are starting to get healthier again as Holiday has returned to the starting lineup, but they still don’t look anything like the team we saw from last season. The 76ers have been dealing with a bunch of players out and were on fire before last night’s tough loss to the Knicks at home, but they will again be without their best player in Joel Embiid who is expected to miss several games after entering the NBA’s health and safety protocols. With that being said, it won’t be easy, but I think the Bucks can take advantage of a depleted 76ers lineup in this spot.
