The Miami Heat play host to the Utah Jazz at the FTX Arena on Saturday night.
The Utah Jazz have been in great form as they’ve won seven of their first eight games overall and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after routing the Hawks in a 116-98 road win on Thursday. Jordan Clarkson led the team with 30 points on 10 of 19 shooting off the bench, Bojan Bogdanovic added 23 points, Joe Ingles added 19 points while Rudy Gobert chipped in with 13 points and 15 rebounds. As a team, the Jazz shot 50 percent from the field and 17 of 41 from the 3-point line as they struggled in the first half, scoring just 39 points before exploding for 77 points in the second half to win comfortably in the end.
Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been playing well also as they’ve won six of their first eight games, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after having their five-game win streak halted by the Celtics in a 95-78 home loss on Thursday. Jimmy Butler led the team with 20 points, Duncan Robinson added 16 points while Bam Adebayo chipped in with 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Heat shot just 34 percent from the field and nine of 41 from the 3-point line as they took the early lead, before going completely ice-cold in the second quarter where they scored a season-low nine points to fall behind by as many as 26 points.
Looking at the betting trends, the Jazz are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, 1-6 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Heat are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the Jazz are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Miami and the Jazz are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.
Here we have two of the hottest teams in the league colliding in what should be the game of the night. The Jazz have been on a tear lately and they didn’t slow down in their last game despite playing without Donovan Mitchell who is listed as questionable for this one along with Royce O’Neale. The Heat were probably the best team in the league before they laid an egg against the Celtics on Thursday, but I expect them to bounce back here in fine fashion. You can make an argument for either side here, but I’m sticking with the Heat to bounce back with a statement win at home.
