The Chicago Bulls invade the Wells Fargo Center to do battle with the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night.
The Chicago Bulls have been in red-hot form as they’ve won six of their first seven games and they will be looking to build on their current two-game win streak after routing the Celtics in an impressive 128-114 road win on Monday. DeMar DeRozan led the team with a game-high 37 points on 15 of 20 shooting, Zach LaVine added 26 points with seven assists while Nikola Vucevic tallied 11 points with 10 rebounds, nine assists and two blocks. As a team, the Bulls shot a sizzling 57 percent from the field and 13 of 31 from the 3-point line as they struggled for most of the game, falling behind by as many as 19 points before pulling off the ambush in the fourth quarter where they outscored the Celtics by an impressive 39-11 to finish with their best win of the season so far.
Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers have been building nicely as they’ve won four of their last five games and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after taking down the Trailblazers in a 113-103 home win on Monday. Seth Curry led the team with 23 points, six rebounds and five assists, Georges Niang added 21 points and five assists off the bench while Andre Drummond racked up 14 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists and five steals. As a team, the 76ers shot 51 percent from the field and 13 of 36 from the 3-point line as they led by just one point at halftime, before stepping on the gas in the second half where they poured in 59 points to pull away and win easily despite playing without their best player in Joel Embiid who was rested for the match.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bulls are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games, 5-2 ATS in their last 10 games following a win of more than 10 points and 7-1 ATS in their last eight games overall. The 76ers are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 0-5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team above .600.
Head to head, the Bulls are 1-6 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and the Bulls are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings in Philadelphia.
Danny Green has been ruled out for this one with left hamstring tightness, but the 76ers should have Joel Embiid back in the lineup after he was rested in the team’s last outing. The Bulls have emerged as one of the hottest teams in the league, they are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games and their confidence will be sky-high after taking down the Celtics in their best win of the season so far. You can make an argument for either side here, but the Bulls have yet to lose a road game and I think they can stay hot with another statement win here.
