The Miami Heat play host to the Orlando Magic at the American Airlines Arena on Monday night.

The Orlando Magic started their season with two blowout losses before they stopped the rot with a 110-104 win at New York last night. Cole Anthony led the team with a monster game of 29 points with 16 rebounds and eight assists, Terrence Ross added 22 points on six of 11 shooting off the bench, while Mo Bamba chipped in with 10 points, 13 rebounds and two assists. As a team, the Magic shot just 40 percent from the field and 12 of 43 from the 3-point line as they struggled for most of the game and trailed by as many as 13 points before flipping the script with a pivotal 12-0 run to start the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat kicked off their season with a statement win over the Bucks, only to fall back down to Earth in a 102-91 overtime road loss at Indiana on Saturday. Tyler Herro led the team in scoring with 30 points and 10 rebounds off the bench, Jimmy Butler added 19 points with six assists and three steals, Bam Adebayo scored 17 points with 16 rebounds while Duncan Robinson chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Heat shot just 38 percent from the field and nine of 33 from the 3-point line as they fought hard to extend the game into overtime, only to get outscored by 16-5 in the extra period.

Looking at the betting trends, the Magic are 0-4 ATS in their last four road games and 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall. The Heat are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 0-4 ATS in their last four games playing on one days’ rest.

Head to head, the Magic are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall and the Magic are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Miami.

The Magic got a special game out of Anthony to earn a much-needed win over the Knicks last night, but it’s going to be tough to replicate that effort against a revamped Heat team coming fresh off an overtime loss.

The Magic will take plenty of confidence from last night’s win over the Knick, especially after getting thrashed by them just a couple nights prior, but they’re going to have to be even better to hang in this contest. Kyle Lowry is listed as questionable with an ankle sprain, so the Heat could be shorthanded once again, but they will still be kicking themselves after their overtime loss on Saturday and I think they should be too much to handle for the Magic who are playing this one on zero days’ rest. Give me the Heat to get the win in a blowout.
