The Atlanta Hawks and the Philadelphia 76ers meet in game two of their Eastern Conference semi-final series in NBA action from the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday night.

The Atlanta Hawks will look to take a surprising 2-0 series lead after stealing game one by a final score of 128-124 last time out. Trae Young led the charge, posting a team-high 35 points and 10 assists, hitting 4 threes while John Collins and Bogdan Bogdanovic each had 21 points with Bogdanovic drilling 5 threes while Collins shot an efficient 7 of 9 from the floor with 3 triples. Kevin Huerter added 15 points on 6 of 9 shooting with 3 threes while Clint Capela added 11 points with a team-high 10 rebounds for the double-double to finish off the double-digit scoring for Atlanta in the win. Young leads the Hawks in scoring and assists this postseason with 30.2 PPG and 9.8 APG while Bogdanovic is averaging 15.5 PPG and John Collins is averaging 13.7 PPG. DeAndre Hunter, Kevin Huerter and Clint Capela each have double-digit scoring averages in the playoffs as well, with Capela putting up 10.2 PPG and 12.8 RPG to lead the Hawks on the glass and average a double-double per game. As a team, Atlanta is averaging 108.2 PPG on 45.2% shooting from the field, 37.7% from behind the arc and 84.8% from the foul line while allowing 100.8 PPG on 41.7% shooting from the field and 34.4% from three in their last 5 games.

The Philadelphia 76ers will look to even up the series at one win apiece following their loss to the Hawks last time out. Joel Embiid led the way with 39 points in addition to 9 rebounds and 4 assists while Seth Curry added 21 points with 5 triples and Tobias Harris came right behind with 20 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double. Ben Simmons added 17 points with 10 rebounds for a double-double of his own and Matisse Thybulle added 10 points off of the bench to cap off the scoring in double figures for the Sixers in defeat. Embiid leads the Sixers in scoring this postseason with 27 PPG while Tobias Harris has 24.2 PPG and a team-high 10 RPG to average a double-double per game. Seth Curry’s averaging 16.7 PPG and Ben Simmons is close to averaging a triple-double per game with 15.2 PPG, 9.2 RPG and 9.3 APG this season. As a team, Philadelphia is averaging 123.8 PPG on 52.2% shooting from the field, 38.5% from three-point range and 70.2% from the foul line while allowing 112 PPG on 44.9% shooting from the field and 31.8% from three in their last five games.

Atlanta is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 6-1 in their last 7 games following a win while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 playoff games as an underdog. Philadelphia is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 home games while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 playoff games as a favorite. The over is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings between these two teams and 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams in Philadelphia.

I got burned with the under in game one as I thought the two would play a slow paced game and boy did Atlanta prove me wrong coming out of the gate flying. I’m not sure they hit 20 threes again, but I am going to side with the over. It looks like the Hawks are letting the chains come off and the Sixers need to hit their free throws as it’s the only real issue they’ve had this postseason. Either way, I think this one gets into the 230s at least, so give me the over here.
