The Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers meet Thursday in game six of the NBA West Playoffs at the Staples Center.
The Phoenix Suns look to make the second round of the playoffs for the first time since the 2009-10 season. The Phoenix Suns are averaging 102.2 points on 45 percent shooting and allowing 97 points on 41.3 percent shooting. Devin Booker is averaging 26.2 points and 5.4 assists while Deandre Ayton is averaging 17.4 points and 12.2 rebounds. Cameron Payne is the third double-digit scorer and Jae Crowder is grabbing four rebounds. The Phoenix Suns are shooting 32.5 percent from beyond the arc and 81.4 percent from the free throw line. The Phoenix Suns are allowing 30.2 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 41.8 rebounds per game.
The Los Angeles Lakers need a win to save their season and force a game seven on Saturday. The Los Angeles Lakers are averaging 97 points on 41.3 percent shooting and allowing 102.2 points on 45 percent shooting. LeBron James is averaging 22.2 points and 8.2 assists while Anthony Davis is averaging 21.8 points and eight rebounds. Dennis Schroder is the third double-digit scorer and Andre Drummond is grabbing 11 rebounds. The Los Angeles Lakers are shooting 30.2 percent from beyond the arc and 76.3 percent from the free throw line. The Los Angeles Lakers are allowing 32.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 44.8 rebounds per game.
The Suns are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 road games and 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Lakers are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 home games and 6-13-1 ATS in their last 20 games overall. The under is 4-0-1 in Suns last 5 overall. The under is 5-0-1 in Lakers last 6 overall. The Suns are 2-6 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Lakers should put together a better effort at home and LeBron is always another animal when he's facing elimination. The Lakers aren't going down without a fight. However, there's still questions with the status of Anthony Davis, and even if he plays, I'm not sure how effective he'll be. The Phoenix Suns are a young, confident bunch that smells blood in the water, and it looks like CP3 is getting healthy. If AD can't play or isn't effective if he does play, the Suns should win this game. Give me the free bucket.
