The Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks face off on Wednesday in an Eastern Conference showdown at Madison Square Garde. The Hawks currently lead the series 3-1 and can close this series out with a victory.
The New York Knicks had a lot of confidence after winning Game 2 at MSG, but since that point, they have lost two games in a row and now their backs are really against the wall/. The Knicks early in the series didn’t get enough production from Julius Randle. In the last game though, Randle did finally find success putting up 23 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists. Derrick Rose is also looking like the Rose of old, In his last game, Rose finished with 18 points six rebounds and two assists. Even with those two guys, the Knicks still only finished with 96 points. In this game, it’s going to need to be a balanced team effort with the offense being better.
On the other side of this matchup is the Atlanta Hawks who many didn’t give much of a short in this series, but now they are only one win away from advancing to the next round. The Hawks offense has done what it has needed to so far this series, but the most impressive part has been the way the defense has stepped up.Over the last two games, the Hawks are giving up an average of 95 points total and in this game, it’s going to need to be the defense that makes life tough. Trae Young has also been strong this series and in the last game he finished with 27 points and nine assists.
Hawks are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in New York. Hawks are 3-7-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings. Over is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings. Over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in New York.
The Knicks are back at home, but I don’t see them finding a whole lot of success in this game. Their offense is going to struggle to score and that will be the difference as the Hawks get the job done on the money line.
