The Portland Trail Blazers look for a bounce back performance to take a key 2-1 series lead. The Portland Trail Blazers are averaging 116 points on 47.6 percent shooting and allowing 118.5 points on 52 percent shooting. Damian Lillard is averaging 38 points and 11.5 assists while CJ McCollum is averaging 21 points and six rebounds. The Nuggets are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 2 days rest and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 Thursday games. The Trail Blazers are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games as a favorite and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The over is 6-2 in Nuggets last 8 overall. The over is 4-1 in Trail Blazers last 5 playoff games as a favorite. The Nuggets are 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings.
The Denver Nuggets as an underdog is really tough to pass up, as they've consistently been one of the better teams in the league and they've looked quite comfortable offensively through two games this series. However, the Portland Trail Blazers lit the Nuggets up in back to back games, especially from deep, and now they come home to a Moda Center that will allow 10,000 people. We all know role players shoot better at home with the crowd behind them. I'm concerned about the Nuggets defense in this game. I'd love the line to drop a bit, but I still think the Trail Blazers win this crucial game three.
