It’s a lighter slate of games across the NBA on Thursday with nine games taking place, but there is still plenty of value across the board in terms of free NBA Picks.
Los Angeles Clippers at Charlotte Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets have lost two games in a row but they have been competitive in the last two games. Two games ago against the Pelicans they lost by two points, and in the last game against the Nuggets they lost by five points. The Hornets offense is going to keep this game close, and cover the spread.
Milwaukee Bucks at Indiana Pacers
The Bucks game last game was a little slower scoring, but don’t let that scare you off, this is a team that doesn’t play any defense and there is going to be no shortage of scoring in this game. The Pacers like to also play a fast pace and both of these teams should have no issues running up the score in this game. Back the over. Don’t be shocked if this game gets over the 260 range.
Orlando Magic at Atlanta Hawks
The Milwaukee Bucks play zero defense and the Orlando Magic could still only finish with 102 points against them. The Hawks are also a team that doesn’t play much defense, but the Magic aren’t going to be able to take advantage. In this game look for Trae Young to have a big game, the Magic will have no answer, and the Hawks will come away with a win and a cover of the spread.
Play: Hawks ATS
Philadelphia 76ers at Miami Heat
Both of these teams are playing well heading into this game for the most part, but in the last game the 76ers really struggled scoring only 94 points against the Pacers and that led to the nine point loss. The Miami Heat’s defense hasn’t been as strong as last year, but it’s still going to be good enough to lock down in this game and get the job done. The big question for the Heat heading into this game is if they will have Jimmy Butler, but it seems signs are pointing towards him going. Assuming Butler can go in this game, the Heat will come away with a cover of the spread.
Play: Heat ATS
San Antonio Spurs at New York Knicks
The New York Knicks want to keep the pace slow and that was the case in the last game against the Los Angeles Lakers. That game went to overtime against the Lakers and the final score was still only 101-99. In this game look for the Knicks to really slow down the pace and the under is going to cash with ease.
Sacramento Kings at Memphis Grizzlies
The Sacramento Kings are closing out the regular season hot, winning seven of their last ten games. In the last game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Kings were able to win by 18 points. This is going to be better competition, but the Kings are going to find success in this one. Back the Kings against the spread.
Play: Kings ATS
Toronto Raptors at Chicago Bulls
At the beginning of the season the Bulls were playing good basketball, but as of late, they haven’t been as strong and that has led to lower scoring games. Even in the last game against a strong Nets offense, the Bulls only gave up 115 points. In this game look for the Bulls to slow down the pace and that will be enough for this game to stay well under the total. Back the under to cash.
Denver Nuggets -5.5 at Toronto Timberwolves +5.5 Total: 235.5
The Timberwolves are finally healthy and this looks like a team that could be a problem for the rest of the league next season. Anthony Edwards doesn’t look like a rookie anymore and he is going to have another big game. In the last game Edwards finished with 22 points in 34 minutes. Look for the Wolves to have good offense, and for the Wolves to cover the spread.
Play: Wolves ATS
Portland Trail Blazers at Phoenix Suns
The Suns didn’t look good in their last game against the Warriors and even though they are playing the Trail Blazers who are on the second night of a back to back they are going to struggle again in this game. Look for Damian Lillard to continue his hot streak and that will be the difference as the Trail Blazers cover the spread.
Play: Trail Blazers ATS
