It’s a light slate of games across the NBA on Saturday with only seven games taking place. Let’s break down and give a free pick on each of the games to make your Saturday filled with winners.
Washington Wizards at Indiana Pacers
These are two teams who can really score and haven’t shown a whole lot of interest in playing much defense. On Thursday it was the Pacers that were able to beat the Atlanta Hawks 133-126. For the Wizards each of their last four games have gone over 250 and that isn’t going to change in this game. Look for both teams to run up the score and for the over to have no issues cashing.
Detroit Pistons at Philadelphia 76ers
The Detroit Pistons have had issues this season but they are coming off a surprising win in their last game over the Memphis Grizzlies. For the 76ers they will be playing in their second game in as many nights after facing the Pelicans on Friday night. I expect the Pistons are going to play a slower pace and the 76ers will be happy to do the same with their tired legs. Back the under to cash.
Memphis Grizzlies at Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors aren’t going to let this season end without a fight, but they were defeated in their last game in overtime against the Washington WIzards. For the Grizzlies they are also coming off a loss, but they were on the second night of a back to back. The Grizzlies offense has been better this season and they are going to get back on the right track with this offense. Back the Grizzlies to cash with ease.
Play: Grizzlies ATS
Brooklyn Nets at Denver Nuggets
The Brooklyn Nets have lost four games in a row but they have been against tough competition. The competition isn’t going to get any easier in this game and the Denver Nuggets are going to have no issue getting the job done in this game. Look for a higher scoring game, but the Nuggets defense to lock down and slow down the pace enough to come away with a cover of the spread. Back the Nuggets against the spread.
Play: Nuggets ATS
Houston Rockets at Utah Jazz
The Houston Rockets are going to play their second game in as many nights after facing the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday. The Jazz also play against the Nuggets on Friday night but they are more suited to find success with a loaded bench. Look for the Jazz’s defense to lock down and that will lead to Utah coming with a cover of the spread.
Play: Utah ATS
Oklahoma City Thunder at Golden State Warriors
These two teams faced off on Thursday night and it was the Golden State Warriors that were able to come away with the 118-97 victory. Two days later, I don’t expect much to change as the Warriors will win this game in blowout fashion. Back the Warriors to cover this spread.
Play: Warriors ATS
San Antonio Spurs at Portland Trail Blazers
Both of these teams are playing on the second night of a back to back and that is going to lead to tired legs by both teams. With such an emotional game Friday against the Lakers, I also expect that the Spurs are going to struggle. Look for a lower scoring game and for the under to cash with ease.
