Friday is a lighter day across the NBA Landscape with only eight games on the board. Even though it’s not a full slate, there is plenty of value across the board. with a lighter schedule, there is still plenty of value in each of the games. Let’s take a look at each game and give a free pick on each of the games.
Atlanta Hawks at Philadelphia 76ers
These two teams just faced off on Wednesday and it was the Hawks that were able to come away with the 127-83. The Atlanta Hawks are still without Trae Young and without him the offense is a big issue. Each of the last two games the Hawks have scored 86 points or less. The Hawks are going to struggle to score again in this game and that is going to lead to the 76ers coming away with a victory and a cover of the spread. Back the 76ers against the spread.
Pick: 76ers ATS
San Antonio Spurs at Boston Celtics
The San Antonio Spurs this season has been inconsistent and they had won three games in a row before losing their last game against the Miami Heat by five points. The Boston Celtics are coming off a game against the Charlotte Hornets where they put up 120 points. In this game, I expect the Celtcs are going to have no issue running up the score again. The Spurs offense will also find enough success to push this game over the total. Back the over.
Washington Wizards at Cleveland Cavaliers
The Washington Wizards are getting hot at the right time and they have won nine of their last ten games. In the last game against the Los Angeles Lakers it was actually the defense that was the difference giving up 107 points. Russell Westbrook had another game finishing with 18 points, 18 rebounds, and 14 assists. The Wizards defense will slow down the Cleveland Cavaliers' offense and the Wizards will come away with the cover of the spread.
Pick: Wizards ATS
Portland Trail Blazers at Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets are dealing with injuries right now with Kyrie Irving and James Harden both out for this game. The Nets are also playing on the second night of a back to back so it won’t be shocking to see the Nets decided to rest Kevin Durant. In the Trail Blazers' last game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Portland was able to score 130 points and that was the difference as they won in blowout fashion. Back Portland against the spread.
Pick: Portland ATS
Orlando Magic at Memphis Grizzlies
The Orlando Magic have pieced together a team after so many trades at the trade deadline, and the offense has taken a hit. In each of the last four games, the Magic have scored 112 points or less and in two of the games, they scored 103 points or less. Memphis is going to take advantage. Look for Memphis to have no issue running up the score and the Grizzlies will cover this spread.
Pick: Grizzlies ATS
Milwaukee Bucks at Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls are really missing not having Zach LaVine who is currently on the COVID protocol list. In two of the last three games, the Bulls have scored 101 points or less. In the last game against the New York Knicks, the Bulls only scored 94 points and that led to a 19 point loss to the Knicks. Even on the second night of a back to back, the Bucks are going to have no issue in this game. Back the Bucks against the spread.
Pick: Bucks ATS
Utah Jazz at Phoenix Suns
The Suns locked up a playoff spot with their victory in their last game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Chris Paul was the best player in that last game finishing with 28 points and 10 assists. The Jazz had lost two games in a row against the Timberwolves but they got back on the right track in the last game against the Kings scoring 154 points. Even though they looked good, I think the Jazz will struggle in this game. The Suns defense is going to do enough to get the job done in this game. Back the Suns ATS.
Pick: Suns ATS
Sacramento Kings at Los Angeles Lakers
The Sacramento Kings are having another down year and in the last game against the Jazz the defense really struggled giving up 154 points and that led to the blowout victory. Even though the Lakers haven’t been as good as of late without LeBron. With the way the Kings defense plays, there is no way I am trusting them to get the job done in this game. Back the Lakers against the spread.
Pick: Lakers ATS
