The Memphis Grizzlies play host to the Golden State Warriors once again at the FedExForum on Saturday night.
The Golden State Warriors haven’t been at their best lately, but they’ve won three of their last four games after taking down the Grizzlies in a 116-103 road win last night. Andrew Wiggins led the team with 40 points, eight rebounds and four assists, Jordan Poole added 25 points on 10 of 15 shooitng while Damion Lee chipped in with 21 points off the bench. As a team, the Warriors shot 48 percent from the field and 15 of 41 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates and poured in 67 points in the first half to take a 19-point lead into halftime, before cruising in the second half. Kelly Oubre Jr. scored just four points on two of seven shooting while Stephen Curry sat out the game with a tailbone contusion.
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost four of their last five games and they will be hoping to bounce back after falling to the Warriors last night. Ja Morant led the team with 14 points, Grayson Allen added 14 points while Brandon Clarke chipped in with 13 points off the bench. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 46 percent from the field and eight of 26 from the 3-point line as they were slow out of the gates and got punished as they fell behind big early and never recovered.
Looking at the betting trends, the Warriors are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, 6-19-1 ATS in their last 26 games playing on zero days’ rest and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Grizzlies are 1-4 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days’ rest, 4-0 ATS in their last four home games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall.
Head to head, the under is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings overall and the under is 11-4 in the last 15 meetings in Memphis.
Curry is listed as doubtful for this one, while Eric Paschall and James Wiseman will be unavailable for two weeks, so the Warriors will be shorthanded once again. The Grizzlies dropped their guard against the shorthanded Warriors and got burned last night, but I think they’ll come out swinging in this one and that’ll be the difference here. Give me the Grizzlies to bounce back with a much-needed win here.
