The Utah Jazz pay a visit to the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center on Sunday afternoon.
The Utah Jazz have been in decent form lately as they’ve split their last eight games and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Rockets in a 114-99 home win on Friday. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 28 points with seven rebounds and eight assists, Mike Conley added 20 points with four assists, Bojan Bogdanovic and Jordan Clarkson each scored 15 points while Rudy Gobert chipped in with 14 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks. As a team, the Jaz shot 48 percent from the field and 15 of 40 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 36 points in the first quarter to take a 17-point lead into halftime, before cruising in the second half as they kept the Rockets to just 36 percent shooting.
Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have been in a real funk lately as they’ve lost six of their past nine games and they will be hoping to put an end to a four-game slide after getting routed by the Clippers in a 130-104 road loss on Thursday. Kelly Oubre Jr and Andrew Wiggins each scored 15 points, while Stephen Curry, James Wiseman and Jordan Poole each scored 14 points. As a team, the Warriors shot just 43 percent from the field and nine of 36 from the 3-point line as they fell behind by 16 points going into halftime after scoring just 17 points in the second quarter, before the Clippers exploded for 45 points in the third quarter to blow the margin out to 39 points.
Looking at the betting trends, the Jazz are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games following a win of more than 10 points and 22-7 ATS in their last 29 games overall. The Warriors are 1-5 ATS in their last six games as an underdog, 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall.
Head to head, the over is 5-0 in the last five meetings overall, the Jazz are 9-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings overall and the Jazz are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings in Golden State.
The Jazz have cooled off a bit lately, but they were dominant in their easy win over the Rockets on Friday, while the Warriors have really struggled lately as they’ve lost four in a row. Curry will be eager to bounce back with a big scoring night and the Warriors will need that, but I don’t see it happening in this one. The Jazz are 9-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings overall and I think that trend continues as the Jazz should be too good here.
