The Milwaukee Bucks play host to the Portland Trailblazers at the Fiserv Forum on Monday night.
The Portland Trailblazers have been in decent form as they’ve split their last eight games and they will be looking to stay hot after taking down the Bulls in a thrilling 123-122 road win on Saturday. Damian Lillard led the team with 44 points and nine assists on 15 of 26 shooting, Enes Kanter added 22 points with 11 rebounds on nine of 13 shooting while Gary Trent Jr. chipped in with 18 points. As a team, the Trailblazers shot 51 percent from the field and 17 of 42 from the 3-point line as they squandered a 19-point lead, before escaping with the narrow win as Lillard drained the game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer to steal the game late.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have been in a bit of a rut lately as they’ve lost four of their last six games and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight loss after getting routed by the Hornets in a 126-114 road loss on Saturday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 34 points, 18 rebounds and nine assists, Jrue Holiday added 21 points with five assists while Khris Middleton chipped in with 18 points and four assists. As a team, the Bucks shot 48 percent from the field and 18 of 45 from the 3-point line as they rallied all the way back from a 20-point deficit, only to go ice-cold in the fourth quarter as they managed just four points in the final 6:56.
Looking at the betting trends, the Trailblazers are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games, 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a win. The Bucks are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games following a loss of more than 10 points, 2-7 ATS in their last nine Monday games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall.
Head to head, the over is 4-0 in the last four meetings in Milwaukee, the Trailblazers are 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Milwaukee and the Trailblazers are 4-13-1 ATS in the last 18 meetings overall.
The Trailblazers will once again be shorthanded for this one, but they will still be buzzing after following Lillard’s heroics on Saturday, while the Bucks are clearly at a low point in their season, despite being at full health. I expect to Bucks to bounce back with a win here, but this just seems like too many free points to be giving this Trailblazers team.
