The Milwaukee Bucks pay a visit to the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been in fine form lately as they’ve won five of their last six games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after blowing past the Magic in a 121-99 road win on Monday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 22 points on eight of 16 shooting, Khris Middleton and Bobby Portis each scored 20 points while Bryn Forbes chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Bucks shot 50 percent from the field and 13 of 35 from the 3-point line as they took control with 38 points in the second quarter, before outscoring the Magic by 35-17 in the fourth quarter to make it a complete blowout.
Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have really been doing it tough so far as they’ve won just two of their 10 games and they will be hoping to bounce back after falling to the Jazz in a 96-86 loss on Sunday. Jerami Grant led the team with 28 points on nine of 19 shooting, Saddiq Bey scored 12 points off the bench while Blake Griffin chipped in with 10 points, but no other player finished in double figures. As a team, the Pistons shot just 33 percent from the field and 10 of 42 from the 3-point line as they rallied late in the third quarter to cut a 20-point deficit to just six points, only to fall short as they scored just 18 points in the fourth quarter.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record, 0-5-1 ATS in their last six games following a win of more than 10 points and 4-12-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a win. The Pistons are 10-24-1 ATs in their last 35 games against a team with a winning record, 6-2 ATS in their last eight games playing on two days rest and 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a double-digit loss at home.
Head to head, the over is 4-0 in the last four meetings overall, the Bucks are 21-8-2 ATS in the last 31 meetings overall and the Bucks are 5-0-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Detroit.
The Bucks are starting to get hot now and they will be full of confidence after routing the Magic on Monday, while the Pistons have struggled so far this season and they just lost to the Jazz in a game where they scored just 86 points. It’s a classic case of two teams headed in opposite directions and I’m not going to get in front of the Bucks who are 5-0-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Detroit. Give me the Bucks to stay hot with another win and cover here.
